  • Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) is a specialized service that provides safe and comfortable transportation for individuals who have medical conditions or disabilities and require assistance getting to and from medical appointments or treatments. It is not intended for emergency situations\.

 

 

2. Who Can Benefit from NEMT Services?

  • NEMT services are designed for individuals who have medical conditions, disabilities, or mobility challenges that prevent them from using regular transportation. This includes seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those with chronic illnesses.

 

3. What Types of Appointments Can NEMT Cover?

  • NEMT services can cover a wide range of medical appointments, including doctor's appointments, physical therapy sessions, dialysis treatments, chemotherapy, dental visits, and more.

 

4. How Do I Schedule NEMT Services?

5. Is NEMT Covered by Insurance?

  • In many cases, NEMT services are covered by Medicaid and some private insurance plans. However, coverage varies by state and insurance provider. It's essential to check with your insurance company or Medicaid to determine your eligibility and coverage.

6. What are your Rates?

  • Please contact us for a precise price: 

       

     Weekday Business Hours

     Ambulatory – Base Rate (between the hours of 8 am & 5 pm) - $30 each way - includes the first 5 miles

     Additional Mileage Fees $3 

    Wait-time Fees (per 30 mins) - $15

    Additional Passenger - $10 per additional passenger

    Late Arrivals: Our drivers will provide courtesy calls prior to arrival and will wait for 15 minutes from the scheduled pickup time. If the member is more than 15 minutes late, we will contact the facility and make efforts to reschedule with our next available driver.

Cancellation Policy: To better serve all our members, we kindly request a minimum of 24 hours' notice for trip cancellations.

Wait Time Rate: For roundtrips involving drop-off locations situated more than 20 miles from our office locations, which necessitate over 15 minutes of wait time, there will be a wait time rate of $30.00 per hour, billed at 30-minute increments.

Surcharge Rate: For trips originating from pick-up addresses situated more than 20 miles from our office locations, a surcharge rate of $1.00 per mile will apply for each mile beyond the initial 20 miles.

6. What Should I Expect During a NEMT Ride?

  • During a NEMT ride, you can expect a trained and courteous driver to arrive at your pick-up location. The vehicle will be equipped to accommodate your specific mobility needs. The driver will assist you in boarding, securing any necessary medical equipment, and ensuring your safety throughout the journey.

 

7. Can a Family Member or Caregiver Accompany Me?

  • In most cases, a family member or caregiver is welcome to accompany you during your NEMT ride, especially if it's medically necessary. However, it's essential to inform us in advance of your trip to ensure the vehicle can accommodate additional passengers.

 

8. Are NEMT Services Available for Long-Distance Travel?

  • We offer long-distance transportation services for medical appointments or treatments that are located outside your immediate area. Be sure to inquire with us to receive a quote for your long-distance needs.

 

9. What Safety Measures Are in Place for NEMT Services?

  • We prioritize passenger safety. This includes training for our drivers in passenger assistance and securing mobility aids, maintaining well-maintained vehicles, and adhering to safety regulations and protocols. We also sanitize our vehicles after each trip.
